Maintenance & Savings

FRP composite building materials, with their notably reduced thermal conductivity and absence of thermal massing, in conjunction with premium Owens Corning© Insulation, enhance energy efficiency in Northstar structures.

This not only prolongs the life and boosts the performance of HVAC systems but also results in substantial maintenance savings for building owners. Tenants, in turn, benefit from considerable energy savings and a comfortable indoor environment shielded from external climate variations.

Revolutionary Features, Unmatched Benefits

Designed For The Future

Beyond its physical advantages, Northstar’s technology provides tangible benefits in terms of cost savings and operational efficiency. The lightweight nature of our materials reduces transportation and installation costs, while their durability minimizes long-term maintenance expenses.

These features make our solutions ideal for both large-scale infrastructure projects and everyday building applications. Our advanced manufacturing ensures consistent quality, meeting stringent certifications such as Florida High Velocity Hurricane Zone standards.

Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) is a high-performance composite material made by combining a polymer resin with strong reinforcing fibers, typically glass, carbon, or aramid. Known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, FRP is lightweight, non-corrosive, non-conductive, and highly resistant to fire, water, mold, and impact. These properties make it an ideal alternative to traditional materials like steel, concrete, and wood in construction, infrastructure, aerospace, and defense applications.

How Is It Made?

Pultrusion is a continuous manufacturing process used to create strong, lightweight FRP components with constant cross-sectional shapes. In this process, reinforcing fibers (like glass or carbon) are pulled through a resin bath and then through a heated die, where the material is shaped and cured into rigid profiles. Pultrusion allows for precise, high-strength structural elements—such as beams, channels, and panels

Strength; Powered By Glass

Glass fibers are the most commonly used reinforcement material due to their high strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness. These fibers are woven or aligned in specific orientations and embedded within a polymer resin to form Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP). The glass fibers provide the structural strength and stiffness, while the resin binds them together and protects against moisture, chemicals, and UV exposure
